A breakout Expert Advisor waits for price to move decisively through a level that has been holding, and takes a position in the direction of that move. It is the opposite of a grid or martingale system: instead of adding to a position as it goes against you, a breakout system accepts a defined loss when the break fails and looks for the next one.
That single structural difference is why every Expert Advisor on this site can carry a fixed stop loss. A grid system cannot, because its recovery logic depends on staying in the trade. A martingale system cannot, because its recovery logic depends on the next position being larger. A breakout system has no recovery logic at all, so the worst case on any trade is known before it opens.
The trade-off is real and worth stating plainly: breakout systems lose more often than grid systems do. A grid system shows a long run of small wins and then one loss that takes the account. A breakout system shows a mixture of small losses and larger wins, and the equity curve is bumpier month to month. Anyone comparing the two on win rate alone will pick the wrong one.
Every breakout system below is a variation on the same engine, tuned to a different market and timeframe.
What They Share
True of every one of them
A defined worst case on every trade
The stop loss is set when the position opens and it does not move against you. That is the whole reason the strategy family was chosen.
No position averaging
A failed breakout is closed, not rescued. No system in the range adds to a losing position or increases size after a loss.
Multiple strategies per product
Each product runs several independent breakout models rather than one, on different lookback windows or timeframes. When conditions do not suit one model, others may still find setups, which smooths trade flow across market regimes.
One chart, many markets
Several of these manage multiple instruments or timeframes from a single chart attachment rather than needing one instance per symbol.
The Systems
8 Breakout Expert Advisors
Two products in the range are deliberately not breakout systems: Daytrade Pro Algo trades price action at daily support and resistance, and Luna AI Pro is a mean-reversion night scalper. Both are in the full catalogue.
The engine itself, sold as a configurable platform rather than a finished system. Every parameter that is fixed inside the individual EAs is exposed as a setting, and it ships with pre-built SET files derived from live systems. This is the one to buy if you want to build rather than deploy.
Opening Range Breakout, a specific variant that trades the break of the first range of the session. Twelve uncorrelated variations across four indices.
Breakout is a family, not a single product. These are the sensible entry points.
You want one system and you want it to trade gold
Gold Reaper. It is the most focused single deployment of the engine, and gold is the market the range is best known for.
You want to build your own breakout strategies
Ultimate Breakout System. It is the platform the others are built on, with every parameter exposed and pre-built SET files as starting points.
You trade indices rather than forex or metals
Indicement for US500, US30 and NAS100, or ORB Master if you specifically want opening-range logic across four indices.
You want exposure that is not correlated to gold
Bitcoin Reaper or the index systems. Running gold and non-gold breakout systems together is the point of the full portfolio.
Questions
Breakout Expert Advisors FAQ
A breakout Expert Advisor is an automated MetaTrader system that waits for price to move decisively through a level that has been holding, and opens a position in the direction of that move. If the break fails, it takes a defined loss and moves on.
Because it has no recovery logic. A grid system needs to stay in the trade to average its entry, and a martingale system needs the next position to be larger, so neither can accept a hard stop without breaking its own model. A breakout system does not depend on recovery, so the worst case on each trade can be fixed when it opens.
The risk is shaped differently rather than simply smaller. A grid system typically produces a long sequence of small wins followed by a single very large loss. A breakout system produces a mix of small losses and larger wins, with a bumpier month-to-month curve and a defined worst case per trade. Neither removes the risk of losing money.
None of them do. No product in the Profalgo range uses martingale, grid or position averaging, whether it is a breakout system or not.
Opening Range Breakout is a specific type of breakout strategy: it defines the range formed in the first part of a trading session and trades the break of that range. ORB Master uses that approach on four indices. The other breakout systems here define their levels from broader price structure rather than session opening ranges.
Yes. Indicement covers three US indices from a single chart, ORB Master covers four, and the Ultimate Breakout System is market-agnostic and can be configured for any instrument the engine has been validated on.
